Movies Make at Least 50% of Their Total Gross in the First Two Weeks

*Updated due to percentage error!*

Here is an explanation of the numbers and how I came up with my conclusions! Yay math! (Video Posted Underneath!)

1. Force Awakens made 52.5% of it's total gross in the first two weeks worldwide

2. Rogue One made 49.6% of it's gross in the first two weeks

3. The Last Jedi made 67.8% in it's first 2 weeks domestic and first 3 weeks global (opened a week early abroad) but 56.2% when adjusted for time frame

4. Solo made $147,510,761 million worldwide in its opening weekend

5. With a 40% drop...(generous) it would make $88,506,456 next weekend...worldwide

6. If you give 20 million to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday worldwide each...which is generous that means the total gross after weekend 2 will be $296,5017,217...if we assume that results in 50% of the take (which again is fair) then the total of this film by the end will be $562,0532,282...which results in roughly $349,320,230 (at 60%) in actual profit and a minimum loss (if cost is $500 million) of $150,679,769

Avg % of all Star Wars = range of $471 million to $505 million (when accounting for the first two weeks!

As a comparison:

Ready Player: 68%

Hail Caesar: 52%

Jurassic World: 59%

Deadpool: 63%

Wonder Woman: 61%

Geostorm: 81%

Black Panther: 55%
